Environmental Monitoring

The working group met starting in June 2008 and on a regular quarterly basis ever since with the purpose of:
  • Understanding the legislative / regulatory background for Noise and Flight Track monitoring as well as the monitoring of Air & Water Quality at Dublin Airport
     
  • Considering possible noise reduction measures as well as possible environmental measures to manage and control emissions
     
  • Considering how Noise Monitoring Data and Statistics on Air & Water Quality can be made available to the wider public and the establishment of a process for query, response and action to representations from the public
     
  • Making recommendations to DASF on all issues in relation to Noise & Flight Track Monitoring
     
  • Making recommendations to DASF on measures to mitigate the adverse impact of airport operations on Air & Water Quality
 The Working group has carved out a successful ongoing role in contributing to DASF discussions and interests and has built up a consensus and strong working relationship between all parties over the years.
